Only 5% of homes have a fully stocked emergency supplies, which primarily includes first aid kits. The majority of Americans who don’t have sufficient first aid list “cost of supplies” as the key reason why.

Approximately 4 million children sustain injuries at school in the United States every year. Despite this, researchers found that 63% of the first aid kits in schools fail to be fully equipped to standard recommendations. Less than 10% of these first aid kits have any bleeding control supplies, which can be crucial- as severe bleeding is often the leading cause of preventable death in the US.
